Challenge

Our client is the UK’s market-leading structural steel company, offering world-class engineering and design excellence. They are one of the largest structural steel business in the UK, employing 1,400 people. For decades they have been shaping skylines and delivering the modern built environment.

The client came to us to help them to deliver a new, complex 16,700Te stadium to an ambitious programme. With a capacity of over 62,000 and a fully retractable pitch, the stadium was designed to offer one of the finest spectator experiences in the world and would become the first purpose-built home for NFL in Europe.

The client chose to partner with T J Hazell as we have a proven record in delivering large, complex structures in a dependable manner.  

Solution

We collaboratively worked with the client’s Project Management Team, as well as the site and Fabrication Team, to deliver detailed fabrication drawings which ensured the delivery of the new stadium was executed with accuracy. 

Results

Our strong relationship with the various Project Management Teams was based upon co-operative working, which resulted in our team developing an effective detailed solution reactive to the shifting project requirements. We were able to deliver the project with a high level of accuracy whilst ensuring there were minimal site issues.
